Heaps O Wins Casino Review

I was recently reading an article about how to recognise red flags, and the first clue was to trust your gut when something feels off. Admittedly, the article was about recognising red flags in a potential partner, but that exact feeling hit me the second I opened Heaps O Wins Casino.

The second clue was that when something looks too good to be true, it usually is. Well, the promotional banner says that you can get a 150% welcome bonus with no playthrough and no maximum cashout.

As someone who plays at Australian online casinos and reviews them for a living, I can tell you that there’s something fishy about it. I’m not naive enough not to check the terms and conditions, and I’ll just tell you that the banner is not what it says.

As an RTG casino (RealTime Gaming) with just 240+ games, I didn’t expect much in the games department, and I was still disappointed. So, is there anything about Heaps O Wins suggesting that it’s worth your time? Keep reading this review to find out.

Pros

Cons

Should You Play at Heaps O Wins? Australian Gamblers Explain

Should you trust a diet ad that promises you can lose 10 kilos in a week by drinking lemon water and a ‘magic’ shake? Exactly.

In other words, no, you shouldn’t play at Heaps O Wins, unless you enjoy stress as a hobby. Or you really, really want to play RTG games (and I don’t know why you would), but again, I can’t recommend playing at Heaps O Wins. There are literally dozens of quality Aussie online casinos out there, like Stay Casino, Richard, King Billy, Neospin, Spinando… should I continue?

I haven’t even gotten to the worst part: Heaps O Win operates without a licence, so even if you willingly agree to play here and pay their A$40 fee on withdrawals, there’s no guarantee that you’ll ever get your money.

Heaps O Wins Bonuses

Heaps O Wins bonus

I’ll start with a disclaimer here: the Promotional page was inoperational at the time of testing. I tried to open it numerous times, but it continually redirects me to the homepage.

Nevertheless, I managed to get a glimpse at the bonuses based on the promotional banners and the available info on the Terms and Conditions page, and they seem very restrictive.

Sign Up BonusBonus OfferWagering Req.
Deposit 1150% up to A$1,000 and 50 free spins30x*
Deposit 1 (Alternative)333% up to A$3,500 and 33 free spins30x*

The first time you open the casino’s website, you’ll be greeted by a massive banner that says ‘150% welcome bonus + 50 free spins’ with no playthrough requirements and no max cashout. The only thing is that you can’t actually claim this deal. Click on it, and nothing happens.

I went through the general T&Cs to find out more, and they clearly state that every bonus at Heaps O Wins needs to be wagered at least 30x times (yes, even the cashback bonuses). So, the banner is absolutely misleading.

The alternative is more realistic: a 333% deposit match of up to A$3,500 and 33 free spins for RTG’s new game OZ Golden Trail. The minimum qualifying deposit is A$30, and the wagering requirements are 30x, but again, once you click on the bonus, you’re redirected to the home page, so I can’t confirm whether you can actually claim this offer.

Heaps O Wins free spins bonus

The only promotion for regulars (besides the VIP programme) is the 25 daily free spins, which can be activated by making a deposit of A$30. It comes with the standard 30x wagering requirements.

Heaps O Wins VIP Club

The VIP programme has five levels, and the rewards include stuff like weekly cashback up to 40%, up to 35% “monthly insurance” (whatever that is), dedicated VIP support, and even priority withdrawals for the highest level.

Now, this all sounds good on paper, but there’s no info on how to reach a new level, how many points are required, or how you earn points in the first place.

So, as with the other bonuses at Heaps O Wins, this one seems like nothing more than a promotional banner and a promo that you can’t actually claim.

Heaps O Wins Real Money Games

Heaps O Wins popular casino games

Heaps O Wins is a so-called RTG casino, which means that all the games are by RealTime Gaming (and its alternate name SpinLogin Gaming).

As such, it’s incredibly limited with just ~240 games like pokies, table games, jackpots, and a few specialty games.

Software ProvidersRealTime Gaming

Heaps O Wins online pokies

With only one software developer, it’s no surprise that the game library is very limited. It’s not the first time I’ve come across a RealTime Gaming casino, and to be perfectly honest, I have never particularly liked them. Their games are very basic, and I’ve never had any luck with them.

I’ve also heard horror stories and a lot of controversy about this provider, but I wouldn’t get into too much detail about it here. Also, I know that some players love RTG games, and the studio has been releasing new games in the past year, so I tried some of them here at Heaps O Wins.

While I can’t really recommend any RTG game because of the reasons I mentioned above, the few new pokies I tried actually had decent gameplay, like:

  • Whispers of Seasons
  • Shadow Princess Quest
  • Yin-Yang Clash

Expectedly, the lobby features some popular RTG games like Caesar’s Empire and Cleopatra’s Gold.

Heaps O Wins table games

Heaps O Wins has a dedicated table games category (called Card Games), which only features 14 games. You read that right – there are only 14 table games in total here. To say that the choice is limited would be an understatement, but it is what it is.

So, I tested Baccarat and Blackjack, and I can confidently say that the graphics look like the old Solitaire we used to play on Windows 98.

In other words, they suck. Also, the 14 table games don’t include a Roulette game.

Some other games here include:

  • Tri Card Poker
  • Teen Patti
  • Lucky 7
  • Akbar Romeo Walter
  • Andar Bahar

RealTime Gaming is still living in the 1990s, and live casino games weren’t a thing in the 90s. So, to cut it short: No, Heaps O Wins doesn’t offer any live dealer games.

Will they add them? Judging by how things look at the moment, I wouldn’t bet on it.

Heaps O Wins jackpots

The only game category that I would characterise as good here is the jackpots section. It has around 80+ progressive jackpots. They’re all tied to the same RTG network, but the grand jackpot you can win differs between pokies.

The highest jackpot when I reviewed Heaps O Wins was around A$900k, but most of the other games have jackpots ranging between A$1,000 and A$5,000.

I tested around 20 jackpot games, and they’re all basic video slots with a 5×3 grid and very simple bonus features like Wilds and Scatters. Some of them include:

  • Megasaur
  • Spirit of the Inca
  • Jackpot Cleopatra’s Gold
  • Rudolph’s Revenge

Heaps O Wins specialty games

The only other category is Specialty Games, which includes eight games, like:

  • Fu Long Plinko
  • Under Pressure
  • Ripcord Rush
  • Galaxy Blast
  • Keno

As you can see, it’s a combination of mini games and arcades, but with just 8 games, calling this a “category” feels generous. I’ll give it a D- for the effort.

There’s just one software provider here, RealTime Gaming. If I had a dollar any time someone complained about being scammed by an RTG game, I’d be halfway to buying a parking space in Sydney.

RTG has been around since the 2000s, but it’s one of the software providers with the worst reputation. Besides the 2004 case where they didn’t pay a player $1.3 million after claiming that he cheated in their own game, there have been thousands of complaints about RTG games being rigged and not paying their RTP.

Many players have complained on forums like Reddit and Quora about ‘always losing’ when playing RTG games, and some have even called their games ‘the leeches of gaming’.

Besides fairness, I have a problem with the sheer quality of the games. Just take any RTG game and compare it to a modern pokie, say Le King by Hacksaw Gaming. You’ll feel like you’re playing FIFA ’98 vs FIFA ‘25. Everything lags 10 steps behind the industry leaders, including gameplay, bonus features, and graphics.

Payment Methods at Heaps O Wins Casino

Heaps O Wins payment methods

It seems like every casino nowadays accepts both fiat and cryptocurrencies, and Heaps O Wins is no exception. However, if you were expecting 10+ payment methods, you’re wrong. There are exactly three options: cards, Neosurf, and Bitcoin.

The situation is even worse when it comes to withdrawals, where your only choice is Bitcoin or Bank Transfers, and the minimum withdrawal amount is a hefty A$100.

Overview of Payment Limits & Times

Payment MethodMin. DepositMin. WithdrawalPayout Time
Visa/MastercardA$30
NeosurfA$30
BitcoinA$30A$100Up to 10 days*
Bank TransfersA$100Up to 10 days*

Let’s start with deposits. The options are cards, Neosurf, and Bitcoin. However, if you choose to use your Visa/Mastercard to deposit, you’ll have to pay a 2% fee. I’ve reviewed hundreds of online casinos in Australia over the years, and nearly all of them offer fee-free transactions.

But the situation is much, much worse when it comes to withdrawals. First, the minimum deposit amount is A$100, and the two options are Bank Transfers or Bitcoin. No e-wallets, no other cryptos, just these two.

The maximum withdrawal limit is A$5,000 weekly (A$10,000 weekly for VIP level 4 and 5), but the T&Cs indicate that the casino might remove a portion of your balance as a “Manager Withdrawal”, essentially meaning that a manager can decide to remove money from your account.

An approved “Manager Withdrawal” represents a portion of your balance that was removed because it was not eligible for withdrawal. This amount could be Bonus funds (which are non-cashable) or because you have exceeded the Maximum Withdrawal Amount on your last bonus, with excess funds removed.

Also, Heaps O Wins charges a A$40 fee on every withdrawal, regardless of the payment method used.

Warning from Australian Gamblers: Many players have reported that withdrawals from Heaps O Wins can take a very long time to process. In some cases, people have been waiting months. The same company operates several sister casinos, and the same complaints appear across those sites as well: slow payouts and unresolved withdrawal issues. Just keep this in mind before deciding to play here.

Mobile Play at Heaps O Wins Casino

Before I get to the mobile experience, I’ll share some info about how the website works. It’s a very basic website with just a few menus, but some pages don’t work. I don’t know if this was a timely or a permanent issue, but the Promotions and Tournaments pages don’t work on either desktop or mobile.

The mobile version of the website mirrors the desktop website, so it’s simplistic and basic, but it does the job. Many older RTG games don’t run smoothly on modern browsers because they were originally built using technology that today’s phones don’t handle well, so you might run into loading problems, stretched layouts, and buttons that don’t respond properly.

Is Heaps O Wins Casino Legit for Australian Players?

While Heaps O Wins Casino is available in Australia, I don’t recommend playing there. It operates without a licence, so you’re not protected by any regulatory body. If anything goes wrong (and many have reported that a lot has, indeed, gone wrong), you’ve got no one to complain about.

The casino doesn’t list its operator on the website, and it’s almost impossible to find any information about its ownership. Still, I dug deep and pulled some strings, and I found out that it’s part of the AceRevenue program (also goes by the names LuckyPartners Club and GWages), notorious for late payouts.

It does use the Inclave casino system, and while Inclave casinos do have strong verification systems in place, some players have also reported that they don’t pay out.

So, while I can’t stop you from playing at Heaps O Wins if you absolutely want to, I strongly encourage you to seek an alternative, because this is, in fact, a casino scam.

I searched the entire website, and I couldn’t find a Responsible Gambling page, so as far as I’m concerned, Heaps O Wins doesn’t have one. The page footer has two links, one for Gamblers Anonymous and one for Gambling Therapy, and that concludes the RSG tools here.

How to Go Through KYC

The T&Cs clearly state that a KYC check is mandatory before you request a withdrawal. However, I couldn’t find the verification page to upload my documents, so the only way to do it is via customer support. That’s far from ideal, but if you’ve already registered here and want to attempt to withdraw your winnings, that’s the only way to do it.

This is how the process goes:

1

Contact Heaps O Wins via email at support@heapsofwins.net and tell them that you want to verify your account. They’ll tell you the documents you need to send in.

2

To verify your identity, you will need to send a photo of your ID, passport, or driver’s licence.

3

To verify your address, you’ll need to send a photo of a utility bill or a bank statement.

4

Once you send in the files, you’ll have to wait for some time for the operator to do the check. It took me 3 days.

5

You’ll receive an email saying that your account has been verified, so you can proceed with the withdrawal request.

Customer Support

Heaps O Wins contact info

There’s really only one way to reach human support at Heaps O Wins – email support. I first tried the live chat, but as expected, it’s a bot-only situation, and despite my many attempts, I couldn’t get a human agent to assist me via live chat.

The FAQ page is basically useless, so your best bet is the email service, which is actually not that bad. They responded in about 5 hours after I first contacted them, and they were genuinely helpful when asked about the verification process.

If Heaps O Wins casino actually paid players on time, fixed the broken pages, added more games, removed fees, and got a proper licence… Well, it would be a completely different casino. I wouldn’t recommend a casino if it only had one red flag, but this one has like 10 of them.

Seriously, how can you be bad at EVERYTHING? Except for the somewhat decent ‘Jackpots’ game category, everything else is subpar. They operate without a licence, they’re straight-up lying about their bonuses, and they have the courtesy to charge us A$40 on every withdrawal?

FAQ

No, it’s not. It operates without a licence and hasn’t disclosed any information about its operator. It has also become notorious for delayed withdrawals, so I wouldn’t recommend playing here.

There is no clear timeframe. Many players report waiting weeks or even months for a payout, and support replies slow down once you request a withdrawal. There is also a A$40 fee on every cashout, which is unusual and unnecessary.

No. There are no live dealer games here, which is rare considering that most Australian casinos offer hundreds of live blackjack, roulette, and baccarat tables.

At Heaps O Wins, you can play pokies and table games by RealTime Gaming (RTG). There were around 250 games available at the time of writing.
