Ignition Poker & Casino Review

Online casinos often “do it all” – pokies, live dealers, table games, bonuses, you name it. Ignition falls into that category too, and while this site is indeed a jack of all trades, it’s a master of one – poker.

The casino and live dealer sections are decent, but if you’re here, it’s (likely) because of the poker. That’s where Ignition truly shines, with more daily tournaments and cash tables than most Australian casino sites even come close to offering in 2025.

So, is the rest of the site just filler? Not really. The library is decent, and there’s even a live casino with all types of table games.

In this Ignition review for Australian players, I will explain why this site is best for poker and how it fares against other online casinos when it comes to casino games, bonuses, and payments.

Pros

Good player traffic at all times
Over 200 daily poker tournaments
Good welcome bonus (300% up to $3,000 with crypto)
Plenty of micro stakes and freeroll tournaments
750+ casino games from leading providers
Promos and giveaways for poker and casino
Detailed Help Centre with a video library

Cons

Live chat is a bit hard to reach
Poker rooms look dated
No mobile app

Should You Play at Ignition Poker & Casino? Australian Gamblers Explain

If you’re after some serious online poker in Australia, Ignition is the best choice out there. With over 200 daily tournaments, all types of cash games, and a player pool that’s much larger than what you’ll find at smaller sites like Coin Poker, it doesn’t get any better.

The casino side does hold its own, with 650+ pokies, dozens of instant win games, and plenty of live dealer tables, though it can’t match the sheer variety of casinos that specialise in pokies, like King Billy or Stay Casino.

Ignition also stands its own in terms of promotions, especially against sites that mainly focus on pokie bonuses. For banking, Ignition is a crypto-first casino, and although you can use traditional options like cards or vouchers, it very much feels like the entire platform has been made for crypto, so you might want to look elsewhere if you’re not a crypto fan.

Ignition Bonuses

Ignition Casino Bonuses

Speaking of Ignition being a crypto-first casino, there are two welcome bonuses: the ‘standard’ bonus for card depositors, which offers a 200% deposit match up to $2,000, and a crypto bonus that consists of a 300% deposit match of up to $3,000.

Regardless of which welcome bonus you claim, it’s divided 50-50 into the casino and poker portions. They both work differently, and I’ll explain in detail in the following section.

All the other bonuses are divided into Poker and Casino, so you can choose which ones to get. For example, the Daily Boost is probably the best deal for casino players here because it can be activated every day, and you can get up to 100% on your deposit.

The wagering requirements and other T&Cs are fair across the board, ranging from 25x to 30x for the casino promos. The poker deals work a bit differently, and they usually come with no playthrough requirements, but you do need to acquire enough Ignition Miles to claim them.

Sign Up BonusBonus OfferWagering Req.
Card Deposit200% deposit match up to $2,000
(100% match up to $1,000 for casino, and 100% match up to $1,000 for poker)
25x for casino
0x for poker*
Crypto Deposit300% deposit match up to $3,000
(150% match up to $1,500 for casino, and 150% match up to $1,500 for poker)
25x for casino
0x for poker*

I found the numbers on the Ignition Welcome Bonus banner to be a bit misleading. First, the banner says that it’s a 300% bonus of up to $3,000, but once you check out the T&Cs, you’ll realise that the offer is only available if you deposit with crypto.

For card depositors, the offer is a 200% match of up to $2,000. A bit discriminatory against fiat users, but many Australian casinos offer bigger bonuses for crypto depositors, so I’ll give Ignition some slack for that.

Now, the actual misleading part is the percentage and bonus amount. A few lines down, the T&Cs reach the part that states the bonus is split equally between the casino and poker. So, for the card bonus, you get a 100% match of up to $1,000 for casino, and 100% match of up to $1,000 for casino.

When I see a casino bonus offering a 200% deposit match, I expect it to provide 200% on the value I deposit. That’s not the case here. The crypto bonus offers a 150% deposit match for each part of up to $1,500. Again, it’s not a single 300% deposit match, but you need two separate deposits, and you get 150% match each time. The qualifying bonus is $20 or currency equivalent for all payment methods.

The casino bonus comes with 25x wagering requirements, so nothing out of the ordinary on that side, but the poker welcome bonus is more complicated. Although the offer says you get a deposit match, you actually need to unlock the bonus by playing poker and earning Ignition Miles over the next 30 days (this is the case with all poker bonuses, though).

You will unlock the welcome bonus at a rate of $1 for every 30 Ignition Miles you earn in poker (you earn them by playing cash games or finishing poker tournaments), so you will actually get the welcome bonus after the 30 days. This sounds a bit too complicated, but on the bright side, at least the bonus you receive comes with no additional wagering requirements.

Note from Australian Gamblers: The poker bonus works opposite to the majority of casino bonuses we know. Here, you play with money out of your own pocket for the 30 days while you acquire Ignition Miles, and only then do you receive the bonus money based on the miles you have earned. In other words, you have cleared the wagering requirements with your own money, and you get the reward afterwards.

Ignition Casino Daily Boost Promo

The Daily Boost is the most reliable casino bonus here. It works as a reload deposit match, and you can claim it every day. The amount and bonus percentage depend on whether you deposit with crypto or a card, and how much you deposit.

This is the bonus for crypto depositors:

  • Deposit $30 – $99.99 and get a 50% deposit match
  • Deposit $100 – $199.99 and get a 75% deposit match
  • Deposit $200+ for a 100% deposit match up to $500

Card depositors get the short end of the stick again. If you make a card deposit, you can get the following boosts:

  • Deposit $30 – $99.99 for a 10% deposit match
  • Deposit $100 – $199.99 for a 25% match
  • Deposit $200+ for a 50% deposit match up to $100

The wagering requirements are 30x, regardless of which deal you pick, which is fair. However, you can only claim one per day – either the crypto or card Daily Boost bonus.

Ignition Casino Referral Bonus

The Refer-a-friend bonus is the most universal offer of the bunch. It works for everyone, be it poker or casino players, and it’s as simple as it gets: if you refer a friend and they make a qualifying deposit ($20 or over), you get $100. If they make a deposit using crypto, you get $125.

The wagering requirements are 25x, or, if you want to use the bonus for poker, you’ll earn Ignition Miles at the rate of $1 for every 25 miles.

The weekly reload boost is available every Monday (50% match of up to $1,000), and it works as a classic reload bonus: you get a deposit match percentage on your deposit. With this promotion, only crypto deposits are eligible.

This one is self-explanatory. If you land a Royal Flush in any real money Texas Hold’em cash game, you’ll be rewarded a bonus payout of 50x the game’s big blind, up to $200. The bonus comes with no wagering requirements, and is one more reason why I consider Ignition to be the best Australian casino for poker players.

Note from Australian Gamblers: If you hit a Royal Flush in a cash game (tournaments are not included), you’ve got 48 hours to report it. Submit your hand and table number to poker@ignitioncasino.eu, and you’ll be credited with your bonus. I suggest taking a screenshot immediately after winning a Royal Flush to make things even easier.

Ignition Casino Social Media Promo

This one is another poker bonus that I really like. Remember how I mentioned that Ignition has several daily freeroll tournaments? Well, one of them is the $250 freeroll, which is activated like this:

  1. Follow Ignition on X or Instagram.
  2. You’ll get a one-time password.
  3. Click on Play Now.
  4. In the poker lobby, find the daily $250 Social Media Freeroll and click to join.
  5. You’ll be asked to enter the one-time password.
  6. Once you enter the password, you’ll be registered for the tournament.

Both of these promos provide Ignition Miles, but they work differently. The Daily Scratch N’ Match is a promo where you need to deposit $50 or more and wager it on any casino game, and you get to scratch a scratcher. If you get three matching symbols, you win, and the grand prize is 1,000,000 Ignition Miles.

The Double Up on Ignition Miles bonus is locked to the Game of the Week. For every $1 you play on this game, you get 6 Ignition Miles rather than 3.

The Live Dealer Jackpot is actually a side bet in the Live Blackjack game by Dynamite Interactive. The side bet is called 777 Progressive Jackpot, and there are Mini, Major, and Grand jackpots. To play it, you should click on the J button while playing blackjack, but like any side bet, it’s usually a worse bet than just playing standard blackjack.

The Bad Beat Bonus is a poker bonus. If you lose an Ace full of Kings hand by four of a kind or better, you can collect a Bad Beat Bonus of 100x the big blind, up to $1,000.

To get the bonus, both pocket cards must be used in both the losing and winning hand, three or more players must be dealt into the hand, and all hands must be played independently. The losing hand must happen while playing Texas Hold’em cash games, so tournaments are not included. Like the $200 bonus for a Royal Flush, you get 48 hours to submit your hand.

Ignition Casino Rewards

Ignition Rewards is a very well-structured loyalty program where you collect Ignition Miles, climb levels, trade them for prizes, etc. I mentioned the Ignition Miles, and they’re an integral part of the bonuses at Ignition.

You collect them by playing games (both casino games and poker), and the rate is different whether you’re playing pokies, live casino, Sit & Go poker tournaments, or cash games. Essentially, every game and every dollar you wager here brings Ignition Miles.

The redemption rate for prizes is 2,500 miles = $1 redemption rate, but note that many bonuses actually require you to trade in miles to get the bonus, like the welcome bonus for poker, where the redemption rate is 30 miles = $1 redeemable.

I must admit that the loyalty program can be too overwhelming even for me, who has spent countless hours at casino sites, let alone beginners. So, what’s most important to know for you is that there are 9 levels, each one unlocks new rewards, and the most important reward is unlocked at level 2 – access to the weekly $2,500 freeroll tournament.

The Road to Riches is a separate bonus that’s directly connected to Ignition Miles. It starts every last week of each month, and you can exchange your Ignition Miles at the Rewards Store for bonuses like reloads, free spins, tournament tickets, and more on top of the existing rewards at the Rewards Store.

Ignition Casino VIP Club

To complicate things further, Ignition has a VIP club that’s separate from the Loyalty program. You get in by invitation, and I asked Customer Support, and I was told, I quote: “Joining our VIP club is invite only, but we’re constantly checking to see if anyone is playing at a VIP level. So, simply keep playing your favourite Ignition Casino games, try to use crypto for all transactions, and that invite could be heading your way before you know it!”

The benefits are not really clarified, but they include faster withdrawal times, lower wagering requirements, exclusive VIP bonuses, priority services, and more.

Ignition Real Money Games

Ignition really isn’t trying to be everything for everyone. It’s first and foremost a poker site, and that’s why most Aussies sign up. The other game categories are casino, live dealers, and virtual sports, and they’re decent, but they do feel more like a side dish than the main course.

There are 650+ pokies, some table games, a good variety of instant win games, a decent live dealer section, and virtual sports. Obviously, this is a far smaller casino section than what many Aussie casino sites offer, but if you see it as a complementary side to the poker side, it’s actually more than solid.

Ignition Casino Poker Table Hold em

Ignition is currently the most popular poker site in Australia, and for good reason. It’s a bit of a circle: it’s the most popular because it attracts the largest player base and generates the best traffic, and it has the best traffic because it’s the most popular. Either way, it works in its favour because it has become the go-to platform for poker players down under.

The poker offerings at Ignition are robust. Ignition offers cash games in three major styles: Hold’Em, Omaha, and Omaha Hi/Lo. There’s plenty of traffic at all hours, so you’ll almost always find a table with 3+ players.

You can play these cash games at regular tables or use Ignition’s Zone Poker feature, which automatically seats you at a new table as soon as you fold. Blinds range from $0.02 / $0.05 up to $10.00 / $20.00, so there’s a table for everyone.

Note from Australian Gamblers: Although the Zone Poker feature speeds things up, I wouldn’t recommend it if you really know what you’re doing. A part of the fun in poker is learning the players at the table and their playing style, and you lose that with the Zone Poker feature. If you’re just starting out, I’d recommend you check out our poker strategies.

Ignition Poker Tournaments & Mobile Play

Ignition Casino Tournament

Tournaments are another highlight. Ignition runs over 200 events daily, including high-profile competitions like the Monthly Milly ($1 million GTD) and the Sunday $200k GTD, alongside numerous smaller events. Freerolls are also fairly frequent, with at least one available every day, although some of them require you to perform some action, like get the code from social media.

The playing experience itself is solid but feels somewhat dated. You can either download the Windows poker app or play online, with both options performing well. Multi-tabling is supported with up to six tables at once, but I wouldn’t recommend playing on more than 3 tables because everything becomes laggy, and you’ll only get frustrated.

Ignition Casino Poker UI

While the app is the better choice if you’re on Windows, mobile players must use the web version, which is functional but could benefit from updates. So, while Ignition’s poker platform works, well, given its size and popularity, I would like to see some investment in mobile apps and an improved software experience.

Ignition Casino Pokies

I admit that I was pleasantly surprised by Ignition’s pokie library. Yes, it’s not the biggest one, but there’s just enough variety to keep things fun. What I especially like is that there are pokies from 25+ studios, and they focus on popular games like Elvis Frog by BGaming and Sugar Rush by Pragmatic Play. Yes, you won’t find the entire Pragmatic Play library like you would in, say, Neospin, but most of the hits are here: Joker’s Jewels, The Dog House, Gates of Olympus, Sugar Rush, Big Bass Bonanza, etc.

So, the entire pokie lobby feels more like a hit compilation by some of the most popular providers for Australians. The filtering options are also good, although I really miss the option to filter games by provider. You can filter pokies by popularity, bonus eligibility, Bonus Buy, Hold and Win, 5-reelers, Progressive Jackpots, Pay anywhere, and more, yet you can’t sort them by provider. Why?

I tried 50+ games here, including some Ignition Casino exclusives, and some of my favourites were Diggin Deep: Diamonds and Dynamite by Rival, Wild Kangaroo Spins (an Ignition exclusive by Reevo), and 3 Pots of Gods by Qora.

Ignition Casino Live Dealers

The RNG table games section is decent. It offers around 50 games, including blackjack, baccarat, and several roulette variants. Additionally, it features niche games such as Andar Bahar, Battle of Cards, Rocket Dice, and video poker.

My biggest surprise? The live dealer section. You can choose between two suppliers: Dynamite Interactive (which is Ignition’s in-house live dealer studio) and Gold Tier Games. Surprisingly, both are great options.

While Dynamite Interactive has 20+ options of classics like blackjack, baccarat, roulette, and poker, I actually prefer Gold Tier Games, which has all types of live casino games. Besides the standard table games, I tried some games that I haven’t played anywhere else, like Crypt of Giza, Football Grid, and Lucky Kicks. The betting range varies depending on the game, but it usually starts very low, at around $0.1.

Ignition Casino Jackpots

The jackpots category here is actually called Hot Drop. There are approximately 10 games that participate in the Hot Drop Jackpots, and each round contributes to the grand prize (called the Epic Jackpot), which currently stands just north of $500k.

The Specialty Games category counts about 50 games like scratchers, Plinko, Crash games, mines, Keno, and similar. It’s good to see these games categorised in one place, rather than scattered across the pokie library, which many other casinos do.

Ignition Casino Virtual Sports

There’s a separate Virtual Sports category where you can bet on virtual sports like soccer, horse racing, greyhound racing, camels, Bingo, and Keno. It’s decent for what it is, but realistically, it doesn’t even come close to a real sportsbook with real sports, so I wouldn’t waste time here.

Ignition can’t match some of the Aussie casinos that have libraries with thousands of games and hundreds of providers, but it has a more-than-decent list of software studios supplying the games:

  • Nucleus
  • iSoftBet
  • Hacksaw
  • Spinomenal
  • Fugaso
  • Endorphina
  • Red Tiger Gaming
  • Yggdrasil
  • Habanero
  • Push Gaming
  • KA Gaming
  • Pragmatic Play
  • Blueprint Gaming
  • Evoplay
  • Booming Games
  • ELK Studios
  • Quickspin
  • Betsoft
  • Wazdan
  • Play’n GO
  • Reevo
  • Qora

While the list looks short, I was actually pleasantly surprised by some of the providers and their games, especially Qora and Reevo.

Payment Methods at Ignition Poker & Casino

Ignition is a ‘hybrid’ when it comes to the payment methods you can use here, but it leans heavily towards crypto. Even when you open the list of available payment options, ‘cards’ are last on the list, which clearly indicates that crypto is preferred here.

The minimum entry is $20 for the card options and Bitcoin Lightning, and it’s the minimum qualifying deposit for the welcome bonus (both crypto and fiat). All deposits are instant, and they’re all fee-free, which is what I expect from a modern Australian casino site.

You can also use the Bitcoin Lightning network, which has been advertised as a cheaper and quicker option to transfer Bitcoin, but if you prefer the standard network, you can use the standard BTC option.

Note from Australian Gamblers: Although you can use several popular cryptocurrencies, the website’s native currency is USD. So, the operator will automatically convert your crypto to USD. The conversion rate is displayed for each crypto, but the rate can only stay fixed for 15 minutes.

Overview of Payment Limits & Times

Payment MethodMin. DepositMin. WithdrawalPayout Time
Bitcoin Lightning$20$10Instant - 48 hours
Bitcoin0.0001 BTC$100Instant - 48 hours
Ethereum0.002 ETH$50Instant - 48 hours

Visa$20
Mastercard$20
Voucher$20$10Instant - 48 hours
Bank Transfer$1,5005-10 days
MatchPay$20Instant - 48 hours

Expectedly, the crypto options are the quickest when it comes to withdrawals, with Ignition promising sub-1-hour withdrawals for Bitcoin Cash, Ethereum, Tether, Bitcoin Lightning, and Litecoin, and sub-24-hour withdrawals for Bitcoin.

Bank transfers are slow, with waiting times of 5-10 days, and the minimum withdrawal is $1,500, which may be seen as another way for the casino to guide you toward using crypto.

The maximum withdrawal limits depend on the chosen payment option. MatchPay withdrawals are limited to $2,000 per 2 calendar days. Bank Wire withdrawals are limited to $9,500 monthly. USDT, ETH, and BCH have a daily withdrawal limit of $2,500, while LTC and BTC have a maximum daily withdrawal limit of $9,500.

I was surprised by the major differences between different payment options, so unless you really want to use fiat currencies, it only makes sense to stick with one of the crypto options here.

Mobile Play at Ignition Casino

As good as Ignition’s website is, I think they should invest in a mobile app as soon as possible. This is a major website with an enormous player base, so a mobile app would definitely be useful.

The instant-play mobile experience is as good as it can be (for a poker site). Each time you want to play, you need to log in using your email and password, write your PIN, launch the online Poker client (since there’s no poker software for mobile), find a table, etc. The entire process takes me around 5 minutes, but if you’re a newbie, it might take you even more.

Try scrolling through the hundreds of tournaments, and you’ll likely get frustrated and decide to grab your laptop and play there.

I had no problems with the casino games like pokies or live dealers on mobile, and while poker rooms run just fine once you’re in, the lack of a dedicated mobile app is definitely a drawback.

Is Ignition Poker & Casino Legit for Australian Players?

Yes, Ignition Poker & Casino is fully licensed by the Anjouan Licensing Services and the Curacao Gaming Control Board. But besides the licences, what’s even more important is the site’s reputation. I have been playing poker at Ignition for years, and with millions of players from Australia and around the world, I can confirm that this is a fully legitimate and reliable site.

It’s been offering its services since 2016, and it wouldn’t be enjoying the reputation it enjoys if it weren’t safe and secure.

Ignition has a Responsible Gambling page linked in the footer, where you’ll find basic guidance and resources like tips for responsible play, RSG tools like setting time/money limits, a problem gambling checklist (based on Gamblers Anonymous questions), and self-exclusion options.

It also offers support resources that link to Gamblers Anonymous, the National Council on Problem Gambling, and Gambling Therapy.

How to Go Through KYC

Completing the KYC process is mandatory here before you request a withdrawal. It all starts with phone verification, which I suggest you complete upon registration. After that, to complete the KYC, you should:

1

Log in to your Ignition Casino account, head to the account dashboard, and click on the Verify Now link.

2

Upload the required ID document, such as a government-issued ID (passport, driver’s license), and proof of address (utility bill or bank statement, less than 90 days old).

3

Submit payment verification if needed (eg, proof of deposit or front/back of a credit card with sensitive numbers hidden).

The operator has a lot of employees, so the KYC verification process is usually completed within 12 hours.

Customer Support

Ignition Casino Help Centre

The primary way to get help at Ignition Poker & Casino is through the Help Centre, and to be honest, it’s really well done. You’ll find loads of detailed articles, screenshots, and even short videos that explain most things step by step. For the majority of questions, this section is more than enough, and I often found answers there without having to contact anyone.

That said, if you do need to reach an actual person, the process is a little hidden. You first need to open any Help Centre article, scroll down to the bottom, and when asked “Did you find what you were looking for?”, answer “No”. Only then will the system give you the option to connect with support through Live Chat or Email.

From my experience, live chat is the better option. It’s available 24/7, and I was connected to an agent within a minute or two. They were polite and gave me the answers I needed without much back and forth. Email is slower, but you can still expect a thorough response within about 24 hours.

The poker traffic here speaks for itself: packed tables, big tournaments, and different poker variants available at all hours. Add to that a casino with 750+ games, fairly generous bonuses (for crypto users), and quick crypto payouts, and Ignition is a site that delivers far more than just poker.

My biggest drawbacks here are the lack of mobile apps and slightly dated software. Ignition is a major brand that’s only been growing and has already invested millions into the platform, so they should open their wallet and invest in a cross-compatible software that would be available on mobile and desktop.

FAQ

Yes, it is. It holds valid licenses from the Anjouan Licensing Services Inc. and the Curacao Gaming Control Board, and has built a reputation as a safe and reliable brand. It collaborates with fully licensed software providers and employs the latest security protocols.

Ignition is an all-around platform that offers a good mix of poker, table games, and over 650 pokies, so it’s suitable for casino players as well. You’ll find popular formats like 5-reel video slots, classics, progressive jackpots, Megaways, and whatnot.

The promotional page at Ignition is divided between casino and poker, and the welcome bonus that offers a 300% match of up to $3,000 is divided 50-50 for casino games and poker. Other promos include daily reloads, bonuses for hitting specific poker hands, and the unique Ignition Rewards program.

Ignition supports Bitcoin, Litecoin, and traditional fiat options. Crypto withdrawals are faster and with high limits, while fiat deposits may come with slightly worse deals. The minimum deposit is around $20 for all options, while the maximum withdrawal depends on the payment method you choose.
