Calculate Your Wagering Requirements Here
This is where the magic happens. To be able to fill in the calculator, you’ll need to have already picked out a bonus (know what the casino promo brings) and have your deposit amount planned out.
We ask you to enter just numbers, and leave the rest to us! So a 100% up to A$1,000 with 45x with a A$50 deposit turns into the following inputs: 100, 1000, 50, 45.
If you haven’t found any good bonuses yet, I’ve got even better news for you. Check out my favourite deposit bonuses:
That’s it, you’re ready to start! Hit the Calculate button as many times as you want, or read our detailed explanation for this tool.

How Our Bonus Calculator Works: Understand the Fields
At its core, a bonus wagering calculator answers a simple question: How much do I need to bet before I can withdraw? To get there accurately, each input field matters.
Bonus % Percentage
The bonus percentage determines how much extra money the casino adds to your deposit. You’ll find this to be the main selling point of the casino – the bonus percentage is in the name of each bonus.
- A 100% bonus doubles your deposit.
- A 50% bonus adds half of your deposit.
- A 200% bonus adds twice your deposit.
The key thing to understand is that the percentage alone tells you nothing about value. It only determines the size of the bonus, not the difficulty of clearing it.
Max Bonus
All match deposit bonuses include a maximum bonus cap. This limits how much bonus money you can receive, regardless of how much you deposit. This is also part of the bonus name. Let’s say the bonus is: 100% bonus up to A$500.
In this case:
- Deposit A$200 → Your bonus is A$200
- Deposit A$500 → Your bonus is A$500
- Deposit A$800 → Your bonus is still A$500
This cap is critical, as wagering calculation must be based on the actual bonus received, not the advertised percentage.
Deposit Amount
Your deposit amount affects:
- The size of your bonus
- Whether wagering applies to your own funds
- The total wagering volume required
In bonuses where wagering applies to deposit + bonus, the deposit amount can dramatically increase the playthrough required, but I’ll get to this in a bit.
Wagering Req.
Wagering requirements are numbers set by the casino that tell you how expensive the bonus truly is. It’s a number that can range from 1 to 70 or over. You will find it in the bonus terms.
A 35x wagering requirement means you must place bets totalling 35 times the applicable amount. This is betting volume, not winnings, so it applies regardless of whether you win or lose individual bets.
Wagering Applies to
The wagering requirement is a multiplier applied to either:
- The bonus (most often)
- The deposit (very rarely)
- Or both combined (sometimes)
This single setting can double the total wagering requirement and is the most important factor in bonus value.

Debunking Common Wagering Requirement Misconceptions
We’ve already got an in-depth guide covering everything you need to know about bonus terms. Here, we’ll only focus on the common misconceptions of playthrough requirements and what they entail.
- Betting turnover vs winning: Meeting wagering requirements doesn’t mean you need to win a certain amount. It means you need to bet a certain amount. In other words, losses still count toward wagering.
- Sticky bonuses: Are sticky (deposit + bonus) bonuses really worse than bonuses that apply their WR only to the bonus amount? Not in all cases. Here’s a simple rule to remember. A 100% match with a 30x sticky bonus is the same as a normal bonus with a 60x WR. Now, if the match is less than 100%, then the sticky bonus is worse. If the match is over 100%, then the sticky bonus is better!
- Time and variance: In theory, the higher the wagering requirement, the more bets you must place. However, if you place bigger bets, you escape the time and variance of the games, meaning a higher WR shouldn’t take more time to clear. Remember, the longer you take to clear them (with the smallest bets possible), the more you increase your exposure to variance and the house edge.
- Withdrawal restrictions: Most casinos don’t allow partial withdrawals while wagering is active. However, attempting to withdraw early only voids the bonus and any winnings associated with it, not your total balance. Therefore, if you feel stuck with a bonus, you can just give up on it.
- Max bet rules: Nearly all bonuses impose maximum bet limits while wagering is active. Breaking these rules can void winnings entirely, regardless of how much wagering you’ve completed. What’s important is that the max bet limit applies while you’re clearing the playthroughs as well.

FAQ
Yes, our calculator provides an accurate wagering total based on the inputs you provide.
Hitting a progressive jackpot is just as random as losing the bet, but in terms of clearing wagering, it could help you clear the whole sum at once. This is a reason why casinos restrict progressive and sometimes fixed jackpot games.
No, in fact, a large bonus with high wagering can be significantly worse than a smaller bonus with lower playthrough.
High wagering, D+B requirements on lower match percentages, game contribution limits, and game RTPs all combine to make some bonuses more mathematically unfavourable.
