Mafia Casino Review

Mafia Casino’s biggest draw is the game collection. With 11,000+ games, you’ll find everything from pokies and jackpots to a solid live dealer section. You can even play Microgaming (now Games Global) titles, though they’re only available in EUR (the same goes for other providers, but I’ll get to that later).

The promotions page is very competitive too, with two types of cashback, ongoing reloads, plus extras like Challenges, Bonus Crab, and a Wheel of Fortune. Oh, and if you’ve ever played GTA Vice City, you’ll definitely love the theme here.

Now, for the downsides: withdrawals are only processed on weekdays, and the maximum withdrawal limits depend on your VIP level.

Let’s break down the main pros and cons, then go deeper into each in my Mafia Casino review to see whether it fits your style.

Pros

Large game collection with 11,000+ games
Sports betting available
Extras like Bonus Crab, Challenges, Wheel of Fortune
Games Global (ex Microgaming) and Novomatic games
Two cashback deals
PayID deposits

Cons

No withdrawal processing on weekends
No license or owner info

Should You Play at Mafia? Australian Gamblers Explain

If game variety is what you care about most, Mafia has everything you’re looking for. The selection is massive and not just in numbers, but in diversity too, with a good deal of pokies, jackpots, live games, and even Microgaming (Games Global), ELA Games, and Novomatic titles that will work if you switch to EUR.

Promotions and extras are another positive of Mafia Casino. There’s the welcome bonus, which isn’t the biggest out there, but it’s not bad either. Then, there are a few reloads, a Wheel of Fortune, and Challenges, but the best part is the two separate cashback deals.

There is also a sportsbook here, so if you like switching between casino and sports betting, Mafia covers both, with decent odds and also promos for Aussie punters.

However, the missing license info isn’t to be taken lightly, especially since there are so many online casinos that are completely open about it. Don’t get me wrong, Mafia does work with the biggest names in iGaming, but I’d like more transparency about this because it matters a lot.

Last but definitely not least, withdrawals are processed only on weekdays, so even if you request a payout on the weekend, nothing happens until your request is approved, which happens only Monday to Friday.

If that’s unacceptable for you, check out the best instant withdrawal casinos for Aussies that come without these restrictions.

Mafia Casino Bonuses

Mafia Casino Welcome Bonus

Let’s just say that Mafia Casino won’t overwhelm you with bonuses, but it does cover the basics well enough. You get a welcome offer, reloads, cashback, and then a few extras like Challenges, Wheel of Fortune, and the Bonus Crab feature if you’re into that kind of thing.

The welcome deal itself isn’t anything groundbreaking. It offers up to A$4,000 in bonuses and 150 free spins across your first three deposits, so I’d say it’s standard at best.

Where things improve is in the ongoing promos: there are two separate cashback options for pokies and live games, regular weekly or weekend deposit bonuses with free spins, plus tournaments and extras.

Sports bettors aren’t left out either, with their own welcome offer and some cashback deals, too.

Note from Australian Gamblers: When it comes to wagering contributions, Mafia doesn’t surprise much: pokies count 100%, while live casino, video poker, and Plinko contribute 10%, and jackpots are excluded from bonus play. The small twist comes with a handful of ‘special’ games: Crazy Time, Dream Catcher, Dream Catcher First Person, and Monopoly, which contribute 50%. If that sounds confusing, it’s worth double-checking everything with our bonus contribution calculator.

Sign Up BonusBonus OfferWagering Req.

40x (free spins)
Deposit 250% up to A$1,000 + 50 free spins35x (bonus + deposit)
40x (free spins)
Deposit 350% up to A$1,500 + 50 free spins35x (bonus + deposit)
40x (free spins)

The total bonus package at Mafia Casino is up to A$4,000 and 150 free spins, and each of the bonus parts requires a minimum deposit of A$30.

The offer itself is pretty straightforward, though I think the overall value could be better, especially compared to other welcome packages I’ve seen online (for example, Lucky Dreams). The difference, though, is in how it works: it’s a sticky bonus, so the wagering isn’t just on the bonus; it covers both your deposit and the bonus amount.

This is best explained with an example: suppose that, for the first deposit, you went in with A$100. Then, you got a 100% match, which means a A$100 bonus, and because it’s sticky, the 35x wagering applied to the full A$200, not just the bonus

So, the total playthrough increased to A$7,000. If it were a regular bonus with wagering only on the bonus, you’d be looking at a playthrough of A$3,500 instead, so it’s a big difference.

Note from Valerie Stronghold: A quick check on a wagering calculator tells you exactly what you’re signing up for, and it saves you from unpleasant surprises later, so take advantage of our handy tool – it’s there for a reason.

Mafia Casino Daily Cashback Bonus

The daily cashback at Mafia is actually one of its better ongoing promos, but it only opens up once you reach VIP level 2 or higher. From that point, the rates scale with your status:

  • VIP 2 gets 3% cashback up to A$100
  • VIP 3 gets 5% cashback up to A$300
  • VIP 4 gets 10% cashback up to A$450
  • VIP 5 gets 15% cashback up to A$600

The value is good on this one, considering it runs daily and almost everyone is eligible. What makes this deal even more attractive than others is the 1x wagering requirement, which is refreshingly low compared to the usual 10x+ conditions I often see on cashback offers at other Aussie casinos.

Mafia Casino Live Cashback Bonus

The Mafia live cashback works a bit differently and is available to all players, not just VIPs. It applies only to live dealer games and returns up to 25% of your net losses, capped at A$300. The minimum cashback you can receive is A$1,5.

The cashback also comes with a surprisingly low 1x wagering requirement. When I opted in, it was actually credited to my account fairly quickly.

The only real downside is that it isn’t automatic. You have to opt in to the Promo section and activate it, or you’ll miss the cashback for that week.

Mafia Casino Weekend Reload Bonus

During weekends, you can claim a 50% deposit match that can also include 50 free spins if you meet the higher deposit threshold.

The bonus cap sits at A$1,050, which is decent if you’re depositing larger amounts. To get the spins, you need to deposit at least A$75, while A$30 only gets you the bonus cash.

Wagering is split between 35x on the bonus funds and 40x on the spins, and the bonus is available only on the first weekend deposit between Friday and Sunday, with opt-in required.

Mafia Casino Weekly Reload Bonus

The Weekly Reload was one of my favourite deals here, mainly because I’m a sucker for free spins. It runs from Monday through Thursday and gives you 50 free spins when you make your first qualifying deposit in that period. The minimum deposit is A$30, and you need to opt in to qualify.

There’s a catch, though: you don’t get to pick the game. The spins are tied to a pokie chosen by the casino. That’s a bit of a bummer, but I went with it, and it worked out okay in the end. The spins come with a 40x wagering requirement, which I cleared without too much trouble.

Mafia Casino Challenges

The Mafia Casino Challenges are more like a gamification feature with ongoing missions built around regular play. You complete tasks across casino games (and sports betting, too, if you wish to take it further), and each one rewards you with bonus shop coins.

Among these, some reset weekly, others are one-off challenges. For example, I had to place 150 bets on Legacy of Lost Gold at a minimum bet of A$0.48, which earned me 30 coins on its own. On top of that, reaching 20 completed challenges unlocks an extra 500 coins, so it becomes valuable if you keep doing it.

To get a spin on the Wheel of Fortune at Mafia Casino, you need to wager A$160, and each spin gives you a chance to win a prize. Speaking of which, prizes include bonus money, free spins, bonus crab credits, and cash prizes.

The maximum number of spins you can earn per day is 3, and all the rewards come with 40x wagering requirements, except for cash prizes that can be withdrawn immediately.

You’ve probably come across the Bonus Crab before, since it’s a part of many Australian casino welcome bonuses these days.

The Crab is a daily mini-game built like a digital claw machine, where you basically try your luck at grabbing rewards. To play, you need to deposit at least A$16 on that day, which earns you a single crab credit. Once you have it, you get one shot at picking up a prize, which can be anything from free spins and bonus cash to a few coins or real-money rewards.

Mafia Casino Bonus Shop

Then there’s the Bonus Shop, where all those coins you collect from Challenges, and ideally, from the Bonus Crab as well, finally come into play.

This is the place where you exchange them for actual value, like free spins, bonus money, or even free bets if you’re into sports betting. The shop is organised into clear categories, such as Best Sellers, Bonus Games, Bonus Money, Free Spins, and Free Bets.

A couple of examples I came across: you can grab 5 free spins on Scarab Wheel for 300 coins, or convert 500 coins into A$8 bonus cash. There are also flexible spin packages for selected pokies, where you choose max bet per spin, and the coin cost adjusts accordingly.

Mafia Casino VIP Club

The VIP program at Mafia Casino isn’t exactly transparent from the start. You can see there are five levels, but most of the details stay locked until you advance through the ranks.

I only made it to Level 1, so I didn’t get much insight beyond the basics, but it follows the usual pattern with dedicated bonuses, more personalised offers, and access to a VIP manager.

What stands out is that both cashback rates and withdrawal limits improve as you move up, so there’s clearly more value if you play here long-term.

Mafia Casino offers tournaments, as do many other casinos. But here, there are seriously a lot of them, as a glance at the list below shows you. You can even look back at completed ones to get an idea of what might come around again.

These were the tournaments active at Mafia Casino while I played here:

  • Urus weekly race with a prize pool of 8,200 coins
  • Urus monthly race with a prize pool of 34,300 coins
  • Urus monthly play-off with a prize pool of 34,300 coins
  • Spinoleague with a prize pool of A$18,000,000
  • The Masters has a prize pool of €1,500
  • Le Hacksaw Spinstorm with a prize pool of €20,000
  • Amusnet Lucky Week with a prize pool of €7,000
  • Games2Slot Clash with a prize pool of €10,000
  • CashCrab Monthly Race with a prize pool of €3,685
  • Drops & Wins with a prize pool of €2,000,000
  • Monthly Race with a prize pool of 2,500 coins
  • Slot of the Week with a prize pool of 1100 coins
  • Gold Saloon Live with a prize pool of 1100 coins

Note from Valerie Stronghold: At the end of the Urus Promotion, which consists of two stages, the qualifying one and the final one, those who qualified in the final stage will compete to get the first-place prize, which is none other than the Lamborghini Urus.

Mafia Real Money Games

Mafia Casino real money games

With over 11,000 games in the lobby, most of which are pokies, the size is impressive, no doubt. Unfortunately, though, the organisation doesn’t really match that scale. Apart from the basic categories and provider filter, there’s not much to narrow games down. But I’ve seen more chaotic lobbies, so this isn’t an official complaint, just an observation.

The best part is the presence of over 200 Microgaming pokies, which you don’t often see at Aussie casinos. The catch is that you’ll need to switch your account to EUR to play them, but I didn’t mind and gave a few classics a spin.

Beyond that, the selection is pretty diverse and almost no game type is left out: the live casino features 500+ tables with real dealers, and jackpot fans get a dedicated section with more than 700 games, including both fixed and progressive prizes.

Mafia Lobby Overview
Total Games11,000+
Available Pokies10,000+
Available Live Dealers500+
Other Game TypesTable Games, Jackpots, Megaways, Bonus Buy, Instant Win, Crash Games, etc.
Software ProvidersNovomatic, Pragmatic Play, Spinomenal, ELA Games, VoltEnt, BGaming, Amusnet, Playson, etc.

Mafia Casino online pokies

With more than 10,000 online pokies on offer, Mafia Casino easily ranks among the biggest libraries I’ve seen. Variety isn’t the issue here, but the way everything is organised might be.

All games are placed in a large, oversized category, and that’s alright, but there aren’t any filters – none at all. Still, at least a few categories in the lobby’s main menu are exclusive to pokies, such as Bonus Buy, Megaways, New, Popular, and similar.

I didn’t mind switching to EUR and playing a few Microgaming titles since that’s a rare sight these days. My choices were Book of Oz, 9 Pots of Gold, and Break Da Bank, among others.

Mafia Casino table games

The table games section at Mafia Casino is actually good. There are around 200 RNG tables, including blackjack, roulette, and a decent range of video poker variants. Still, the same issue reappears: limited filters, although the fewer games make it significantly easier to get around.

There’s a nice balance between classic tables and a few less typical options in the Table Games category here. I played the usuals, Single Deck Blackjack and European Roulette, but also tried a couple of different ones like Zephyr Roulette and Tower Rush, which you don’t see everywhere.

Mafia Casino live dealers

When it comes to Mafia live dealer games, you’ve got two ways to access them: through the main lobby or via the sidebar on the homepage. Go with the sidebar; that’s where the layout actually makes sense, especially when you are dealing with 500+ live titles to sort through. Why the two sections are organised differently beats me to this day.

Inside the live casino lobby, things are much clearer, with game groups like:

  • Top Live Casino
  • Roulette
  • Blackjack
  • International Tables
  • Game Shows
  • Baccarat and Dice
  • Poker
  • All Live Casino

Mafia Casino jackpots

Mafia Casino has a separate jackpot category in the lobby, which is great. Instant access like that is always a plus in my book, and it makes it easier to choose from a big selection of 700+.

Among the jackpot pokies, you’ll find both fixed prizes and progressive titles. When it comes to organisation, the same workaround applies here as at the live casino. Just click on Jackpots from the sidebar to access a more organised section that offers the following categories:

  • Hot Jackpots
  • Lucky Jackpots
  • New Jackpots
  • Daily Jackpots
  • Jackpot Play
  • All Jackpots

Mafia Casino instant win games

Instant-win games are also clearly separated, which is good to see. There are more than 200 of these, including many Crash games and other fast-paced games.

Chicken Road seems to be everywhere right now (I counted over 10 different versions), and while Aviator by Spribe is there, plenty of similar alternatives like Aviatron, Aero, and Fly High follow the same idea, so you can test those out for a small change of pace.

Given that there are 11,000+ games here, the presence of 100+ providers makes sense. The big names are all here – Pragmatic Play, BGaming, and Betsoft – and, as I pointed out earlier, studios like Microgaming (Games Global) and Novomatic are also in the mix with 200+ titles, but that’s not the only provider you can access here that you won’t find even at some of the top Australian casinos.

Other names I have noticed include ELA Games, Amusnet, and Quickspin. Remember that most of these require you to play with EUR.

Payment Methods at Mafia Casino

The banking section is one of the better ones at Mafia Casino. The standard fiat payment methods include cards, eWallets, and prepaid options, and you can also use crypto to deposit and withdraw.

You can even use Neteller (for deposits only) and Skrill for withdrawals, and both go through the third-party Chain Valley payment processor. This means that, in practice, you’re not really using them in the traditional sense, but you’re buying crypto through the service, which then lands directly in your casino balance. It sounds more complicated than it actually is, when in reality, it’s really simple to use.

Deposits are instant, as usual, and the added bonus is that Mafia Casino supports PayID payments as well. Unfortunately, PayID is only available for deposits here.

Withdrawals also come with a few conditions, and this is where you need to pay attention.

Payout limits at Mafia Casino are tied to your VIP level, so the maximum you can withdraw depends on how far you’ve climbed the VIP club.

At level 1, you’re looking at A$800 per day and A$10,500 per month. If you somehow manage to reach the last level 5, that increases to around A$2,500 daily and A$35,000 monthly. You can also have up to three withdrawal requests pending at the same time.

I’ll be straight – these limits aren’t the best, and the worst part is that I see this at many online casinos these days. Still, many online sites (like Slotrave, for example), offer similar or better caps without locking them behind VIP progress. The only upside is that your VIP status gets reviewed every 90 days, so moving up looks achievable. But it cuts both ways: if your activity drops, you can downgrade, and so can your limits.

Timing is another thing to keep in mind. Withdrawals are processed only on weekdays between 6 AM and 5 PM GMT, and, as I mentioned, processing time can reach up to 3 business days.

Note from Valerie Stronghold: You need to wager your deposit at least once, which is a standard AML procedure, but skipping it can void your winnings. On top of that, there’s a 10% processing fee (minimum A$0.75), and if you’re using cards or bank transfers, that fee jumps by another 15%.

Mobile Play at Mafia Casino

Playing on mobile is OK at Mafia Casino. The site runs properly in your browser, with no glitches or weird layouts, so everything works as it should. I also set it up as a PWA on my Samsung Galaxy, and the entire process took a couple of minutes.

One thing to note, though, is that when you try to install the Mafia Casino PWA, it redirects you to a page that looks like an App Store of sorts. Safe to say, it’s not a native app.

Is Mafia Casino Legit for Australian Players?

I’ll get straight to it: I couldn’t find any licensing or ownership details while testing Mafia Casino.

That said, it’s not setting off alarm bells per se. Payments go through just fine, the games are by reputable and licensed software providers, and the customer support is reliable.

The site also uses SSL encryption, and the privacy policy is detailed enough to show how your data is handled. There’s even a contact listed for the data protection officer if you need to get to the bottom of the security side: dpo@mafiacasino.com.

Let’s just say Mafia Casino doesn’t go all in on responsible gambling tools. You won’t find the possibility to set deposit caps, loss limits, or session timers, and at this point, those are pretty standard features I expect to see.

The only real tool available is self-exclusion, and even that isn’t something you can activate instantly from your account. You’ll need to contact support via email and wait for them to process it. The point of this is to be quickly activated; I hope they know that.

They do mention external support services like Gamblers Anonymous and Gambling Therapy, which is a plus, but I’d still prefer to see properly built-in tools so you can manage your play directly.

How to Go Through KYC

Account verification at Mafia Casino follows the usual process, but timing matters here. You won’t be able to withdraw until everything is approved, and in some cases, pending verification can even slow down deposits.

From my experience, once you submit your documents, your account will be approved in 24 to 48 hours.

This is how it works:

1

Go to your profile and open the verification section.

2

Upload a valid ID, such as a passport or driver’s licence, as proof of identity.

3

Provide proof of address, such as a utility bill or similar document from the past 6 months.

4

Add proof of payment, such as a bank statement or account screenshot from the last 1 – 3 months.

5

Wait for confirmation from support before you request a withdrawal.

Customer Support

I contacted a live chat agent, and my experience was alright. A real person joined quickly after I requested it, and they were also quick to respond.

There is also a Help Centre that actually does its job. For simple questions, you’ll likely find what you need there without having to reach out to support. And if your issue needs more attention, email support is always available and fairly quick.

With Mafia Casino, what you see is what you get – and the design itself is one of the most appealing parts about it.

Another positive is the huge game library. There are pokies, jackpots, table games, and live dealers all in good variety, plus the addition of Microgaming titles and other providers not usually available at Aussie casinos is a big plus. The promos are decent as well, with reloads, a couple of cashback offers, and many extras and tournaments.

FAQ

Mafia Casino doesn’t disclose any information about its owner or licensing, but it also doesn’t show any other significant warning signs that indicate it isn’t safe. The casino works with well-known software and payment providers, and payouts are processed within the given timeframe.

The payout limits at Mafia depend on your VIP status, so check the withdrawal policy to know your exact withdrawal caps at the moment you request a payout.

The game library is huge, with 11,000+ pokies, jackpots, table games, and 500+ live dealer titles. You can also play games from other popular studios like Games Global (ex Microgaming), though you’ll need to switch your currency to EUR.

Yes, but unfortunately, only for deposits. During the time I played here, Mafia didn’t support withdrawals via PayID.
